baby sleep?

baby sleep
Brad L asked:

everyone told me to make sure i made as much noise as i needed to throughout the day when the baby was sleeping, to assure that didnt need to tip toe around .. now that he can sleep through anything, he cant fall asleep without noise? has anyone else had this problem? he wont fall asleep unless i put music on next to him loud… or running water really loud.. anything to make noise really, does this eventually stop?

my 2nd daughter was this way. i made sure that i didnt tippy toe around when she was sleeping like i did with my oldest daughter. anyway, at about 6 months my daughter woke up with every noise. i tried everything, like you said. turned out for me it was just a phase, but she still likes the soft hum of the ceiling fan at night time and nap time.
they will go to bed without it, it just takes some getting used to.

It’s likely just a baby thing. The womb was a noisy place with all the blood pumping, muscles movements, etc. White noise comforts him. Maybe get a musical thing for the crib. We have that little Fisher Price Aquarium crib attachment that has a fish swimming through it, soft lights, music, and water sounds. You can put on sounds like waves crashing, bubbles, water dripping, etc. or music. That may work for him too. That would make it easier on you probably to just hit the button on the aquarium and be done with it. And you won’t waste water! :)

    Here it is:

    Our daughter loves it.

My daughter is the same way. I have an annoying winnie the pooh thing that plays music that I turn on when I put her down for bedtime. It has lights on it. That really helps. It also has a remote so I can make it play again when it turns off.

When my daughter was first born she could sleep through anything and we never use to turn anything down because we wanted her to get use to it. She is 6 months now and she can still sleep through loud music but the littlest thing will wake her sometimes. Lol it’s kinda odd but hey thats kids :-)
