The Baby Sleep Solution

I know the first 2 weeks will be of no sleep for us… but our little baby is an angel during the day. He only cries if he’s hungry or if we’re changing his diaper. But at night, he seems more hyper and doesn’t really go back to sleep easily.

How can we make him sleep more at night, and less through the day?

My MIL has had a crib set up at her house since day one and I know she is anxious to have her sleep over for the night. She has my son sleep over ocassionaly but he is 9 and my daughter is only 3 weeks old. I forgot how old my son was when he first had his big night out. How old were your kids? Am I crazy for thinking she is too young still?

Our 4 month old is waking up in the night not to feed but just cause he is used to being rocked back to sleep, but we can’t keep rocking him back to sleep each time he wakes up. We also think he is too young to just cry it out.

Has anyone any methods that worked for them? or can recommend a good book on the subject?
